GUIDE

Prerequisites

Access to the Framer project, Shopiframe plugin, and Shopify Admin. Keep private credentials out of screenshots and support requests.

1. Identify the failing layer

Distinguish a failed store connection from an empty CMS and from a component showing a sample product. These are different failures. Record the exact message and the affected product before changing configuration.

2. Recheck the connection

For connection errors, compare Storefront Domain with the .myshopify.com domain in Shopify Settings → Domains. Remove the protocol and trailing slash. Use the Headless Public access token, review its Storefront permissions, and confirm a Store Credit is available.

3. Publish products to Headless

For “No products found for Storefront”, open a product in Shopify Admin. In Publishing, open its settings, expand Headless, enable the intended storefront, and save. Repeat for the affected products or use Shopify’s bulk editor. A store can connect successfully while no products are available to this storefront.

4. Sync the right CMS

Return to Framer CMS and click Sync in the top bar. After connecting or disconnecting stores, complete Sync Shopiframe CMS when prompted. Review Products Configuration if expected optional fields are missing.

5. Inspect component bindings

Place product-aware components inside the correct CMS Collection List item or product detail page. Bind Product Data, passing it through nested components. Ordinary title and image bindings do not replace the product payload. For metafields, verify namespace.key and supported, nonempty values.

Check your work

Verify one known product end to end: Shopify publishing, CMS title and image, component price, variant selection, and cart line. Then check a second product to catch accidental fixed bindings.

Troubleshooting

If a problem remains, report which layer fails, the exact message, and the relevant binding or publishing state. Never share an Admin API token, private Headless token, password, or unredacted private credentials. Use the linked CMS documentation for the publishing and sync checklist.
