Troubleshooting

Start with the section that matches what you see. Complete the checks in order and test again before moving to another section.

Store connection and product sync

Compatibility depends on where an app runs and how it adds functionality to Shopify.

I cannot connect my Shopify store

Confirm all of the following:

  • You are signed in to the correct Shopiframe account.

  • The project has an unused Store Credit.

  • Storefront Domain contains the correct .myshopify.com domain without https:// or a path.

  • Storefront Access Token contains the public token from Shopify Headless—not an Admin API token.

  • The token and domain belong to the same store.

  • The Headless storefront permissions were saved.

If Shopiframe reports that the store could not be verified, create or copy the public token again and retry.

The store is connected but no products sync

The products are probably not available to the Headless storefront.

  1. Open Shopify Admin.

  2. Open Headless and select the storefront.

  3. Open Sales channels.

  4. Add Storefront if needed.

  5. Publish the products to that channel.

  6. Return to Shopiframe and sync again.

Also confirm that products are active rather than draft or archived.

Products show old titles, descriptions, or images

Static catalog content is copied into the Framer CMS. Open the Shopiframe CMS collection and run Sync Products after changing Shopify titles, descriptions, images, collections, vendors, types, tags, or metafields.

Product components

Price, stock, or variants look wrong

These values are loaded live by components. Check that:

  • The intended store is active.

  • The component’s Product Data property is connected to the current CMS item’s Product Data field.

  • The Headless token has the needed permissions.

  • The selected product is published to the storefront.

  • All Shopiframe components are up to date.

  • You are testing in Preview or on the published site.

A product component is blank or does nothing

The most common cause is a missing Product Data binding.

  1. Put the component in a CMS Collection List item or product CMS page.

  2. Select it and find Product Data.

  3. Bind Product Data to the Shopiframe CMS Product Data field.

  4. For nested components, pass Product Data through every component level.

Do not bind the Shopify title, handle, slug, or numeric-looking portion of the ID in place of Shopiframe’s Product Data field.

Add to Cart does not add the expected variant

  • Connect Product Data to the correct CMS item’s Product Data field.

  • Add a Variant Selector or Option Selector when the product requires a choice.

  • Confirm a valid and available variant is selected.

  • Check that Quantity Selector and Add to Cart use the same product context.

  • Test in a real browser rather than relying only on the canvas.

Subscription does not appear

  • Confirm the Shopify product has an active selling plan.

  • Enable the required selling-plan permission in Shopify Headless.

  • Enable Selling plans (Subscription) in Shopiframe Store Configuration.

  • Bind the Subscription component’s Product Data property to the CMS Product Data field.

  • Confirm the subscription app creates standard Shopify selling plans.

Markets and project configuration

Market components show the wrong countries or currencies

Configure markets in Shopify first, then reconnect or refresh Shopiframe’s store settings. Choose the desired Default Market in Store Configuration and test on a published site.

The plugin asks me to update components

  1. Open Framer’s Assets tab.

  2. Open the Shopiframe folder.

  3. Update every Shopiframe component with an update indicator.

  4. Return to Shopiframe and click Check Again.

Custom Code could not be installed

The store connection may still be saved, but components need the project-level configuration.

  • Confirm that you can edit the project and its settings.

  • Close and reopen the plugin.

  • Complete the onboarding check again.

  • Save a Store Configuration value to trigger another installation attempt.

If the warning continues, contact support with the Framer project name and the exact message. Do not include your Storefront token.

I switched stores and see the old catalog

Open the Shopiframe CMS collection and sync it against the newly active store. Shopiframe tracks the store used for the last sync and treats mismatched CMS collections as out of date.

I disconnected Shopify

The project automatically returns to the Demo Store. Sync the CMS again if you want the collection to show Demo Store products.

A Shopify app is missing from the Framer site

Theme blocks, Liquid snippets, and theme-injected widgets do not transfer to a headless Framer storefront. Check whether the app offers a headless API or SDK, then review Shopify app compatibility.

Still stuck?

Include:

  • What you expected and what happened

  • The page and component involved

  • A screenshot or short screen recording

  • The exact error message

  • Whether the issue appears in Canvas, Preview, or the published site

  • Whether you use the Demo Store or your own store

Never include your Shopify password, Admin API token, Storefront token, or Shopiframe license key.
